Papercutting x Washi Workshop by Hey Kessy

Finally! I've been waiting for this the whole week! No. Actually, been waiting for this since I registered. Haha. As from my previous blog post, I registered for a papercutting workshop which was taught by Mansy of Hey Kessy. I got to meet new people and learn new things and bond with my friend Kux of Kuxiemonster. :)

Took pictures of the DIY room decor for the workshop: paper straws, fabric and hanging paper balls(?), so pretty!

Sample of Mansy's works which are really inspiring to make but drops the pressure ones you see it, haha. Paper cutting is really a challenge, patience needs to be present!

Our kits: We got a DIY wood frame, crafting knife, practice paper with patterns, a free role of washi and a personalized rubber mat. Check out my name stamped on it!

The washi tapes at the top platform are the first ever Filipino designed. How cool is that? I got the "Jeepney" while Kux got the "Hoy" design.

And our works! I made mine simple and fuss free hence did just one word, excuses... lol. But will definitely do more practice on this craft.

Of course we had our picture taken with Mansy being the groupies that we are. :))
I had so much fun with this workshop and definitely looking forward to attending another one with a different craft. But I'd probably wait til I have a stable work before I register again, lol.
Thanks again to Mansy for hosting this!

Now you'd probably get a hint of what my next posts would be about. Definitely flooding you guys with paper cutting. #SorryNotSorry

Lifetime Bucket List

Not labeling this one as 2013 because it's already the middle of the year and I don't think my time and resources can permit myself to be able to do these things in six months. I wish.

The sudden urge to create this one was because of my planner, my June El Nido trip that I wasn't able to go to and the fact that I can do anything I want right now except go to work and earn my monthly salary. I know some of you guys would probably want to be in my place right now (aka bum) but trust me, you don't. I suggest to take a long vacation instead. Turn that one week to one month or even two. That way, when you get back, your back up will surely do what you handed over. This is the tip that I got from a colleague who likes taking long vacation breaks as opposed to week long ones.

So going back to my bucket list, here they are (Updated: May 4, 2014):
  1. Travel alone to anywhere!
  2. Go para-sailing.
  3. Create DIY gifts. - DONE! HA! 12/20/2013
  4. Learn to play the ukulele.
  5. Drive southbound or northbound, just let me experience the express way please.
  6. Bake a cake.
  7. Volunteer for a good cause. - Did repacking for Yolanda victims at the CFC FFL Headquarters 11/15/2013
  8. Join a crafters community workshop hosted by Hey Kessy. - 10/05/2013 Done! :)
  9. Try aerial silk or antigravity yoga.
  10. Take a language class - 9/26/2013 Basic Chinese class done! Got the cert of completion last Sept. 7, 2013
  11. Watch the sun rise - NOT an early riser.
  12. Be a groupie and take a picture with a celebrity in a public place.
  13. Watch the hot air balloon festival.
  14. Watch a movie alone.
  15. Tour Japan on a bicycle.
  16. Celebrate my birthday with a costume party.
  17. Horse back riding - my elementary experience doesn't count since I don't remember much of it.
  18. Try ice skating - without breaking my neck.
  19. Get a new phone. - Thank you Codebridge for the raffle prize. I now have a Sony Xperia L :p 12/19/2013
  20. Mentor someone at work - hopefully work comes soon. - 9/26/2013 Old colleague of mine contacted to consult :)
Right now that's it! I might do a special link for this so I can update it when I add something new and when I cross out some stuff.

So what about your bucket list?
