Tying the Knot - Commissioned Wedding Cord

"Wedding cords are used in Christian Catholic wedding ceremonies. It becomes a figure of eight during the wedding proper and placed around the neck areas of the bride and groom. This cord symbolizes lifetime unity or the everlasting union of the bride and groom when they officially become husband and wife, as well as a symbol of marital protection; while the loops formed signifies their love for one another." (Grabbed from Wiki)

As I mentioned in my post wayyy back here, I was asked by my cousin to make the wedding cord for her upcoming wedding. I've had a hard time finding the right pearl color from the first time I created it so I had to undo and change it to off white. Loved it more than the first one though cause it had more contrast. It just needs a few trims from the excess ribbons and I'm done. :)

Of course as tradition goes, the bride saves the cord as a wedding souvenir so I got this paper box for storage. :)

I can also make personalized wedding cords made to order. If you're interested, you can contact me at christina.salipot@gmail.com. :)
