Last night, I spent an hour (or more) browsing through Pinterest on easy food recipes. The recipes posted are mostly using oven but we don't have one, so it got me really annoyed and searched for "easy no-bake recipes." But then desserts came out as search results though I was looking for dinner. And then I refined that search using "easy no-bake recipes for dinner." Apparently, only a few things were posted on that. So it got me thinking:
"You wouldn't get what you want unless you specify what you want and do something to obtain it. "
And after browsing through easy food recipes in Pinterest, I now want a house.
What? A house? Thought we were talking about food recipes?
Well, now, we're not.
You see, food recipes made me think about our kitchen which is missing an oven and the usual stuff you use to make oven baked recipes. And then it got me thinking of what my kitchen should look like in the future, and then what my bedroom would be like, what my house would be like. So boom. I want a house.
Pinterest became browsing for home ideas. I actually have a board named for that and pinned all I want my house to have. So let me share with you my favorites. Oh the joy of dreaming for free.
Makeup Table:
I am not a make up junkee but this is really functional. In Pinterest, it's called Makeup Table (hide your mess when you are done).
The person who thought of this was amazing! Given that girls would have a lot of make up stuff in front of their vanity mirror, this is a great way to "clean up" after you're done and "clean it up again" when you get home. Some acrylic organizing stuff inside or dividers would probably remove the "clean it up again" task. The socket is also strategic as you can also keep your hair dryer or other beauty electronics inside.
Aside from that, it has light installed. Definitely not your ordinary vanity table but really functional, efficient and organized. Please be mine!
Wall Arts:
I've always wanted to add something personal in walls and these DIY canvases and wall arts are so pretty and adds up character. A personal favorite would be the fake canvas containing family pictures. I have a this soft spot for black and white pictures because I think they give off a vintage vibe and screams more character for memoirs.
Blanks walls will surely light up with these ideas. Just need to make sure that the walls are in good paint quality or do a retouch.
Hide These Stuff:
So by now you probably know that I want clutter hidden. LOL. These are amazing ideas especially that pull out ironing board. Our pet dishes are always in the way and sometimes they are being stepped on by other people so the whole dresser for pet food and stuff is great. But really, a pull out ironing board? How awwweeesomeee is that?
Reading Nook:
We have a lot of books here at home and we've actually renovated a lot of bookshelves, now we settled for installed ones which really save space but cannot be rearranged. So if I'm gonna settle for installed, I would want it to be like this. It's just like another dimension inside your house, something like the wardrobe in Narnia, haha. This is an old closet that was turned into a reading nook. Some tweaks I would like to do would be to add glass sliding covers to the shelves cause I do not like accumulated dust and lower the seat or put a bean bag instead.
So there! I stopped surfing last night cause it's a little frustrating to see a lot of ideas but not see them come to life. I wish I have money to buy a house (hence the title). Now the next question is, what am I gonna do about it?
