South Korea October 2014 - Namsangol Hanok Village

Korea will always be one of the best countries I've visited so far. Maybe because of the way their transportation is so organized, yummy food and lovely weather. I was there last 2013 during the bitter winter which we still loved it. Last 2014 we went back for an autumn fix. It was late October but I believe the best time to visit is November when the everything is mostly, yellow, orange and red.

It was a beautiful morning to walk outside. Imagine if streets in Metro Manila are like this? I would probably go to work riding a bicycle every day.

Namsangol Hanok Village or Traditional Korean Village is about a 5 minute walking distance from Astoria, the hotel that we are staying. It doesn't have an entrance fee (yey! lol). This place can be a substitute destination to Bukchon Hanok Village if you don't want the hill climb. There are less traditional houses here though.

We were greeted by these dainty flowers by the entrance. If you notice, I usually take pictures of flowers in this form: close up macro. You'll see others later. :)

The N Seoul Tower can be seen from the hanok village.

Beautiful scener.... oooh. Nope. That's not my luggage.

To me, these traditional house have a lot of character. Crazy about roof patterns or I'm just weird like that. Inside you'll see their traditional beds called ondol.

Blue lanters line up the common area.

Some pottery inside..

And a picture of your resident blogger...

Plus an awkward constipated jump shot. :p

There was school field trip during that day (oohh these cute little kiddos).

Selfie with a selfie stick...

Selfie with my sister with a selfie stick.

Pavilion beside the pond.

Passed by these two in traditional Korean clothes doing their pre-nuptial photoshoot.

There are lots of lovely flowers within the village. It makes me wonder what South Korea looks like in Spring.

They also sell traditional craftwork. I think that there are also traditional wedding ceremonies held here but it's during weekends.

More posts soon on my trip last 2014!
