Seize the Day

It's been so long since I've written here but hopefully my posting comes back in it's regular habit. Today I would dwell on the fact that my almost 5 years worth of pictures are gone. Poof. If I haven't decided to do a blog entry for my Korea trip last year (it's not up but it will be) I will never know. Ever. So it's a blessing and a curse. But I've got to say that the title of this post tells me what I need to do: seize the day. What is it that people always say? When a door closes, a window opens. Probably a call for me to make new memories. And I think I'm a bit thankful that I don't lax on my Facebook posts so the pictures are there although not in the quality that I want it to be. So goodbye to my trips: Vietnam, Hongkong, Korea (first trip), Germany.. the concerts I went to: Paramore, Ed Sheeran, We Are the In Crowd... well you get the picture (pun intended!).

Anyway, enough of whining so I'll go through this commissioned work I've done early this year for a friend. He and his girlfriend will be celebrating their anniversary and he asked me to do a commissioned work. Facts that he gave me are 1) she likes the color moss green, 2) she likes grass 3) her favorite quote is Carpe Diem and 4) her favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11.

I did a freehand for the Bible verse. Haven't tried doing the anything with structure like Copperplate. I'm sure that I still have a long way to go for drills.

I don't remember taking pictures in the process of making the papercut so you get the finished product.

Had a fun time making this because it was a mix of papercutting, calligraphy and a bit of painting. Shout out to the lovebirds Cocoy and Karen! :)

Now if you'll excuse me I'm gonna sulk in the corner for a bit for my pictures while listening to Justin Bieber's What Do You Mean.
