If you haven't heard of Maginhawa, it's street at Teacher's Village Quezon City full of houses turned restaurants. It's literally food haven here from desserts, cafes, home cooking and many more.
Me and my friends decided to do our catch up not in one, but FIVE food places! Five ain't enough though, next time's definitely gonna happen!
Our first stop was small Italian cooking place called Friuli which was suggested by one of my office colleagues, Paul. They brand logo reminds me of Italiannis, hehe.
Penne in Smoked Sausage Sauce - if my boyfriend was able to tag along with us to this place, I would say he'd give this a thumbs up as a real red sauced pasta. He absolutely hates sweet red sauces such as Jollibee's Jolly Spaghetti, lol. The big red chunk there was actually a half tomato, which we thought was sausage, haha. Looking back to yesterday, I didn't taste any sausage in the sauce though.
Carbonara - the classic white sauce pasta that tastes really creamy and yummy. Bacon bits were included and I think this would've been another good choice for a solo meal for me but I was craving for read sauce yesterday.Tre Formaggi - THIS. It toppled my favorite cheese pizza which is the Melted 4-Cheese Pizza of MoMo Cafe. Apart from the heavenly taste, it really is affordable. *mouthwaters*
Italian cuisine really is one of my go-to/comfort food so this was a big hit. I would definitely go back for another visit. Oh, if only I live nearby.
