Faking Calligraphy

Lately I've been really obsessed with swirls and letters and fancy cards. There's something so delicate and girly at the same time elegant with calligraphy which is why I tried faking it using tools inside the house, lol. Poser right here!

Materials: Bond Paper | Pencil | Sign Pen

Apart from being obsessed with calligraphy, I am also a bit obsessed with this Taylor Swift song "Long Live." Probably because I wasn't able to get tickets to her Manila show this coming June. Tickets are gone in two hours of release! Meh.

The trick that I did here was to use a pencil first as guide to the actual scripting and then trace it with the pen, do some shading and erase the pencil marks. The Uni pen sometimes do not dispense the right amount of ink when I'm not holding it in a flat angle so you see uneven shadings here and there. Calligraphy pen is the way to go.

Next I would probably get my hands on the right tools for this. For my calligraphy fix, I follow inkscribbler on Instagram by Alexis Ventura. She also runs the website inkscribbler.com and holds workshops for calligraphy. Will definitely sign up for it in the future and hopefully this really starts what I've been wanting to do for a long time: card making. :)
